Every human is lost in the search of a role model, a guidance or a light that can lead him to a better state than he is now. We Muslims are blessed enough that Almighty not only gave us a guide book (Quran) but also blessed us with a role model to follow. Islam is a religion of peace, and the ultimate guide of this peaceful religion is nobody but the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. The Last Prophet PBUH is himself an example of perfection as his whole life has been a standard of peace. He has always taught us the lesson of harmony no matter whatever the consequences were. We often find many incidents from his life how he dealt with his enemies, how he dealt with the hypocrites, even how he forgave the murderers of his closed ones. Every act of his kindness give us a sign to execute peace, brotherhood, equality and justice. He has taught us to stay away from discrimination, and has told clearly that:

“An Arab has no superiority over a Non-Arab.”

He was so forgiving and loving that he paid a visit to the women who used to throw garbage on him every day he passed by her house. The women didn’t throw garbage on him one day and he started worrying about her, he got to know that she was ill so he decided to visit her and help her cure her illness. He even forgave Wahshi Ibn Arab, the murderer of his uncle. He was never the first to announce a war on his enemies, Islam teaches us the lesson of Jihad, but the Prophet Muhammad PBUH guided us to launch Jihad when there is no other way left of solving a certain issue. By forming the bond of brotherhood between the Yahood and the Ansar, he showed us how we should be with our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters. He avoided fights and was the best judge to resolve fights between people, his actions actually spoke louder than his words.
If we start studying his life in detail we get know that how every action of him speaks on the lesson of Peace. His personality was so engraved with kindness and mercy that no human can match it but at least we can try. He has lived his life for us, his ummah, because he knew that we are going to look upon him as our role model so he lived a perfect, mistake-free life. It is obligatory for us being Muslims to follow the teachings of our ultimate teacher, the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. To act upon his lessons of harmony and to execute peace in every stage of life.

“The servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say words of peace.” (Qur’an 25:63)
